As we approach the end of 2024, it’s natural to feel both excited and overwhelmed by the idea of starting fresh in the new year. If, like me, you’re a creative multi-passionate who is navigating chronic illness, ADHD, or simply feeling scattered and uncertain about your next step, the thought of planning your vision for 2025 may feel daunting. But what if I told you that you don’t have to aim for perfection—just progress? You can design a life that fits your unique needs, supports your healing journey, and brings you the freedom to do what you love while earning income on your terms.
In my last post, we talked about how to define your vision and how having a theme or guiding phrase can help you be more intentional in 2025, both personally and professionally.
In this post, I’ll guide you through planning your vision for 2025, focusing on creating stability, flexibility, and a sense of peace, even if you don’t have all the answers yet. Let’s get started!
Before you dive into planning for 2025, it’s helpful to take a moment to reflect on the year behind you. What worked for you in 2024? Where did you feel most aligned with your purpose, and where did you struggle?
Questions to ask yourself:
What moments from 2024 brought you the most joy or peace?
What challenges did you face, and how did you navigate them?
How did your health, energy, or mindset affect your goals?
Were there any unexpected successes or lessons you can carry into 2025?
This reflection isn’t about judging yourself or feeling guilty for missed opportunities. It’s about learning from your experiences, adjusting your mindset, and setting a clearer intention for the year ahead.
Traditional New Year’s resolutions can feel overwhelming, especially when juggling health challenges, ADHD, or the pressures of multi-passionate creativity. Instead of setting rigid goals, try focusing on setting intentions—these are more fluid and adaptable to your ever-changing circumstances.
Questions to guide your intentions:
How do you want to feel this year? (E.g., peaceful, energized, creative, grounded)
What lifestyle do you want to create for yourself? (E.g., more time with loved ones, the freedom to travel, flexibility in work)
What values do you want to prioritize in your daily decisions? (E.g., self-care, creativity, healing, financial stability)
Focusing on how you want to feel and the values that matter most to you allows you to create a vision that’s both achievable and fulfilling. Intentions give you a sense of purpose without the pressure of perfection.
If you’ve ever dreamed of leaving the 9-to-5 grind behind or building something that gives you more control over your time and income, now is the time to start planning. Building a personal brand and creating multiple streams of income offers the flexibility and stability you need, especially if relying on a traditional job feels unstable or unmanageable due to health fluctuations.
You don’t need to have it all figured out in one go. Start with small, manageable steps that tap into your creative strengths. If you’re multi-passionate and struggle with choosing just one path, consider starting with one project that you can pour your energy into, and grow from there.
Actionable steps to get started:
Identify the passions or skills you can turn into a side hustle, business, or service.
Think about how your unique story, skills, and experiences can add value to others.
Start small—maybe it’s launching a blog, offering freelance services, or creating a digital product that aligns with your passions.
Building a personal brand doesn’t mean you have to choose just one thing—it’s about sharing your journey and connecting with others who resonate with your values and experiences.
One of the most important things to remember as a creative entrepreneur with health challenges is that you need to design a life that works with you, not against you. If you’re living with chronic illness or ADHD, the traditional hustle culture simply isn’t sustainable. Instead, focus on building a routine and environment that supports your health, creativity, and business goals in a balanced way.
Consider:
How can you structure your day to accommodate your energy levels?
What tasks or activities can you batch together to optimize focus and productivity?
How much rest and downtime do you need to stay energized and healthy?
Flexibility is key. Your routine and goals will shift with your health and circumstances, and that’s okay. The important thing is to create a flow that helps you move forward without overwhelming yourself.
Your health is the foundation upon which everything else is built. Without it, even the most well-laid plans can fall apart. In 2025, prioritize your wellness alongside your entrepreneurial goals. Nourishing your body with the right foods, moving it in ways that support your healing, and taking time for self-care aren’t luxuries—they’re essentials.
Wellness goals to consider:
What does your nutrition plan look like this year? How can you support your body with the foods that best nourish your energy and health?
How can you integrate movement or mindful practices into your day to keep your body strong and flexible?
What self-care practices (e.g., yoga, meditation, journaling) will help you recharge and stay grounded?
Remember, building a business or personal brand doesn’t mean sacrificing your well-being. In fact, taking care of yourself will allow you to show up stronger, more focused, and more aligned with your vision.
The most important step in achieving your vision for 2025 is taking action. Start small—just one thing at a time—and build from there. Consistency is more important than perfection, and it’s the steady progress you make each day that will eventually lead to big results.
First steps to take:
Choose one small task or goal to focus on today, whether it’s planning your first blog post, signing up for an online course, or reaching out to potential clients.
Break your larger goals into bite-sized pieces so they feel more manageable.
Track your progress regularly, and don’t be afraid to adjust your plan as needed. Life—and business—are all about flexibility.
2025 is your year to take back control, design the life you want, and make steady progress toward your personal and professional goals. Whether you're building a personal brand, creating multiple streams of income, or simply learning to embrace flexibility, this year holds infinite possibilities.
You’re capable of achieving the stability, freedom, and peace you desire—one small step at a time. Here’s to creating a life of purpose, growth, and healing in 2025.
